What if it becomes a booking?
- By signing the quotation, I convert the option into a booking.
- We plan an extensive intake, online or on location. This preparation is often very enjoyable. I love customization, so I would like to hear what the goal of the day is, what is going on, what gives the people in the room energy, or what they are concerned about. Whether it concerns a booking as a musical speaker on communication, collaboration, and leadership, a role as a moderator, or facilitating a team session: I process all this input into a planning, presentation, or other form of interaction. The intention is that the audience thinks: “Wow, this has really been given attention. He knows what he’s talking about. This is about us.”
- On the day itself, I am present early. If there is no (tuned) grand piano or piano at the location, I will install my own mobile grand piano.
- We extensively test the sound and the presentation on the screen.
- The presentation itself is always a party! I have without a doubt the best jobs I could wish for!
- Afterwards, I don’t rush away immediately. Often, people from the audience want to chat during the break or during the reception. I am happy to take my time for that.
- A few days later, we will have contact again. How did you experience it? When everyone is satisfied, I will send the invoice.

Do you ever get nervous?
To be honest, less and less. I used to, also as a musician. Sometimes my hands trembled so much that I could hardly hit the right keys. I don’t have that anymore these days. Of course, I still feel a healthy tension just before a performance. That’s mainly because I often look forward to it so much!
Sometimes a room is a bit reserved at first, for example when people are not there of their own free will, but have been sent while they are already so busy. But I now know that it almost always works out well. Not only because of me, but certainly also because of the music. It simply creates connection.”
And of course, there is always someone in a large room who doesn’t like it. That’s fine. In my presentations, I emphasize the importance of dissonants. They make harmony richer and more interesting.
